interesting language. I use to curly braces that's only relative obstacle to understand seed7. and FAQ of this is also very informative.

If you can create circular references and leak memory - it's not a memory safe language anymore. "Just use container LOL" is not an answer - you can use containers in c++, it doesn't make it memory safe. In general, i think, you can't avoid manual management and still get the perfomance and robustness. It's just a tradeoff you need to face, going half-measuress is not the answer.
Just one correction, zig does not ignore integer overflow, it will panic in debug and release safe, and it has operators that will wrap or saturate instead of panicking
Thank you for the hint. Yes, the Zig build mode ReleaseSafe creates executables which panic on integer overflow. But the release modes ReleaseFast and ReleaseSmall both disable safety checks. And I fear that most performance aficionados will always use ReleaseFast. In this case an integer overflow can be dangerous as this is essentially undefined behavior. Wrapping is a different issue as it has only a few application areas where it is needed, such as message digests. In situations where a normal arithmetic operation is needed a wrapping operation just ignores integer overflow. BTW.: Wrapping is easy to implement, since the CPU instructions usually work this way.

Did you independently reinvent ARC? This is Apple's term for compiler-inserted reference counting calls found in Objective-C and Swift. They allows circular references by way of "weak" references, something you could adopt.
Wow, this was awesome. This project definitely has a lot of hardwork put into it and a lot of unique ideas.

Wholly Cow, LIKE LIKE LIKE, I stumbled into this looking at Marlin firmware for my first and only 3D printer, the Prusa Mendel. I'm not even done and I want an upgrade now. That's flying and I love the local control panel.
I wish this was based on a serial lcd concept and that the sd card as well as the jog dial were connected to that at 328 and just two pins were hurt in the making of this animal if your running any board with the 1284 you wouldn't have enough pins left over to make another extruder :( it's nice but it ties up way too many pins my $.02 terramir

@Ryuuken24 I've had pretty good luck with my Makerbot but I've been thinking about making a mash up. Makerbot electronics and MK6+ on a reprap frame. Doesn't seem like it should be that hard and I love the performance of the MK6+ over the wades extruder I used in the past.
You can see at ~107 it get's caught on a bit sticking up, and the mess clearing at the beginning is a give away to the errors. Also the lumpy face which would take a while to smooth and clean up for any commercial use. IMHO! If only they could make sure it stops properly before moving to a unconnected area - but it seems they are more impressed in speed than by accuracy. And what the hell happens at the end of the video, it sounds like the camera man's scratching his backside then falls over! :)
Sure, buddy! The reprap, botmill axes 2.1 and 3.0, orca 0.2, I will not recommend the Makerbot 3D printer, the only thing that is different with it, is that it costs more, and the results are very poor, what you hear about it is all hype, the printers Botmill sells are much more stable very high quality and a little less, the cheapest ones are the orca and reprap, and there are tons of reprap clones out there.
This is the fastest I have seen out of all the uber reprap versions... but the speed will reduce accuracy somewhat!

€1,194.00 keep dreaming, with more reasonable 3D printers out there, this is just not good enough.
Big thanks to Kliment+Caru (RepRap Sprinter), Erik+Martijn (Ultimaker), and all the other people who created the workflow: PrintRun to send commands to the Ultimaker, which runs an specially-configured Sprinter firmware.
So what you see here is a awesome 3d rptiner called Ultimaker. Now, it is even more awesome, since it runs a firmware derived from Sprinter. Currently, I am printing with 150mm/sec feed rate. and the quality is still great

It runs a configured and lcd-enabled firmware derived from the Sprinter RepRap firmware. It is driven by Kliments printrun, to avoid serial latency. I am currently printing a different model with feed rate 150!
